This category is for wineries or vineyards that provide guest accommodation on the premises in the form of hotel, motel, bed and breakfast or cabins and must be located on a winery or vineyard.
Architecture and Landscape
This category is for wineries or vineyards with residential and commercial buildings (historic homestead, cellar door) or working buildings (storehouses, cellars, vat chambers) which are part of the venue and have noteworthy architectural design elements or characteristics, that may be historic or contemporary.
Art and Culture
This category is for wineries or vineyards that host an on-site museum or gallery with temporary or permanent collections related to arts and culture. It is also for wineries or vineyards offering specific artistic events linked to concerts, plays, ballets, artistic workshops and similar offerings, on a regular basis.
Innovative Wine Tourism Experience
This category is for wineries that offer special and innovative, educational and other leisure activities and experiences for individuals and groups at the winery, cellar door or on the winery property, including wineries which stage on-site wine and food events.
Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices
This category is for wineries or vineyards that have implemented environmental practices and sustainable innovations and developments, both in the vineyards (for example, organic farming practices) and in the winery (for example, reduced energy consumption).
Wine Tourism Restaurant
This category is for wineries that operate restaurant facilities at the winery or vineyard and who provide a quality wine and food experience, using local or regional produce.
Wine Tourism Services
This category is for wineries or vineyards that excel in their cellar door service offering. The cellar door experience must stand out as a memorable one and the winery must offer a personal experience that sets it apart from its competitors. The cellar door must be a place where visitors can interact with the product, winemaker and experience first-hand, and the diversity the winery has to offer.
